Star Barks Inn is looking for an energetic, career minded enthusiastic candidate with previous pet care experience. Don’t miss this opportunity to get in on the ground floor of building our unique experience for our pet friends and their families.

Star Barks Inn is scheduled to open on March 1st, 2020, in the Braselton/Buford/Duncan Park area. Star Barks Inn will have over 17,000 sq. ft of boarding, Spa, and indoor/outdoor play space. We will offer luxury boarding (cats & dogs), daycare, and spa services along with additional enriching activities and services for our guests.

Guest Services will be the first contact with both our 4 and 2 legged clients. This position will be responsible to check in and out our guests and ensure that all information is entered correctly into the system. A good candidate for this role should be enthusiastic, friendly and well organized. Those in this role will set the tone for the experience at Star Barks Inn.

Initial and ongoing training in both animal care and administrative responsibilities will be provided. Those in the Guest Services role should be able to work at least 4 shifts a week, and must be available to work weekends and some holidays.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Front desk customer interactions. Must be able to provide exceptional customer service during busy and somewhat stressful situations.
  • Checking in/out guests and all associated paperwork/system entry.
  • Manage availability of resources, schedule luxury spa services, pack compatibility tests, and other services.
  • Participate or lead sales and marketing activities.
  • Follow up with pet owners for reminders, issues and concerns, voicemails, inquiries, and tours.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby area- dogs pee and poop anywhere!
  • Cat hotel responsibilities: cleaning condos and litter boxes, feeding and medicating, add on services, other duties as assigned.
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor. May include work from all levels of positions at Star Barks Inn, including duties of back of house staff.

Job Qualifications:

  • Love for animals and people
  • Previous pet care or related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be available to work weekends and Holidays as these are the busiest times for our industry.

Physical Demands: Employees must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. While performing the duties listed above, the employee must be able to verbally communicate with other staff in a very loud environment . must be able to stand for at least 8 consecutive hours of the day. Employees are occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather).
